Stig-Owe Jemseby was born in Stockholm 1941. He passed away in 2017.

He received his artistic training between 1958 - 1962 from his father, Anton Jemseby, a well known inventor. 1963 to 1978 Stig-Owe Jemseby was active as lithographer and did lithographic work for amongst others, The National Museum and The Modern Museum in Stockholm. This gave him the possibility to study in detail the color and painting techniques of the great masters.
