My painting

I always have my camera with me and base my paintings on my photos. I paint in acrylic in my studio or, on trips, wherever I happen to be. I find my motifs in nature and in the landscape in many parts of the world. I prefer historic culture environments.

Background

Back in the fifties I studied for two years at the Anders Beckmans Advertising. I planned to become a fashion illustrator and particularly liked drawing from a model.

However marriage came in between as did living abroad and children. When the children became older I worked in the travel business. There was no painting.

At the end of the eighties I spent half a year in Florida. I had som free time and inspired as I was by the fantasy which you can see everywhere in the USA, I began to paint on glass and other objects to send to friends and acquaintances. Soon I came in contact with shops in both Florida and Sweden who were interested in my work.

Over the years I have developed my art and with much appreciation from my surroundings began in 1995 to paint pictures.


Exhibits

I had my first exhibit in 1996 at Taxinge Castle outside Mariefred. On that occasion I received help of a Gallery to get everything togeteher.

For eight years I have therefore had my own summer exhibition in the Western Wing at Taxinge. I have many reasons to believe that my paintings have been well received over the years. Many orders have been placed for personal paintings, mailboxes and other things to my great pleasure.

My Studio
