Stig-Owe Jemseby was born in Stockholm 1941.
He passed away in 2017.
He received his artistic training between 1958 - 1962 from his father, Anton Jemseby, a well known inventor. 1963 to 1978 Stig-Owe Jemseby was active as lithographer and did lithographic work for amongst others, The National Museum and The Modern Museum in Stockholm. This gave him the possibility to study in detail the color and painting techniques of the great masters.

It was in this inspiring environment that Stig-Owe developed his own personal style.
Stig-Owe has worked with painting and sculpture since 1979 and has held over a hundred exhibitions all over the world. Complete catalogue here. Stig-Owe then lived and worked on the island of Hven at Konstnärsgården Marielund.
