It was designed by Chinese American Architect I.M. Pei I M Pei is known for many buildings all over the world.
Here in Europe perhaps primarily for his new entrance
to the Louvre Museum in Paris.
While I came to see the building I stayed to see the exhibition at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum which was one of the high points of the trip.
No Cameras allowed again - although we did get permission to take pictures in the lobby.
Fortunately they have an exceptionally well designed website where you can read about all the musicians in the Hall of Fame, the special exhibiton on John Lennon and Surround Sound Film on Jimi Hendrix, about the 500 songs that shaped Rock and Roll - and lots more...
This view from the Museum window shows the Great Lakes Science Center that is also worth looking at and the Cleveland Browns have an interesting stadium down the road a little ways.
On the other side of the Rock and Roll museum there is a Submarine on show for visitors. This day there was a Navy Ceremony going on with drum rolls and people being piped off and on the ship.
The Navy uses the Great Lakes for training purposes! Ships like this can be taken in and out to the ocean by way of the St. Laurence Seeway which bypasses Niagara Falls.
