USA - NY to LA - 2001

View toward the East River and Brooklyn. Strange to look down on such high buildings.

A friend of mine, SG Larson, who lives on an island called Brännö in Sweden, has always insisted that "the town is brown". He has a point. Especially from high above.

View of the traffic below taken with Lasse's 200 mm lens.

View toward the south with the Statue of Liberty standing lonely at the entrance to the harbor. Lots of little tourist boats do their best to keep her company.

Looking down

Across the Hudson River is the Jersey side - Soprano country!

Above Lasse with "drums" on the roof. Apparently some kind of antennas.

Guess who owns the town!

These two towers were across the street from World Trade Center. I took the picture as an architect admiring form and color.

I don't know what they were called or if they were badly damaged but I expect that they were.

The covered sidewalks disappeared as well as the highway.
